October 21, 2009-The decision to allow prisoners held at Guantanamo Bay in Cuba a fair trial has been up for discussion among the Obama administration.
October 19, 2009-Spain's foreign minister, Miguel Angel Moratinos, met with Cuban leader Raul Castro and other government leaders this past Monday, but passed on a chance to visit dissidents, political activists, independent Cuban journalists or members of Havana-based human rights organizations in fear of enraging the Cuban government.
